PCV Training KCVYS aspires to provide the best possible training and assessment at a local level for the Voluntary and Community Sector at an affordable price and at appropriate times, by negotiation. By arrangement with sponsoring
organisations KCVYS can support i) Upgrading
existing MiDAS certified drivers with D1 (restricted) for full PCV D1. ii)
Full training under ‘L‘ Plates for B/B1 drivers to obtain PCV driver status
(D1 only) The givens Existing D1
drivers (MiDAS qualified as well) can do the upgrading driving without: a) Provisional license b) Using ‘L’ plates They and or their
projects will be responsible for all associated fees a) Provisional License b) Medical c)
Theory Tests d) Driving Test e) Training costs KCVYS will
provide a) Initial advice b) Links to the trainer Prior
Undertakings required That drivers have
secured approval and the financial backing from their projects. Baseline
training and fee costings per head circa £750. Essential
requirement Either from within
the sponsoring project or by us, access to the appropriate minibus for the
PCV driving test. Minimum plated weight of 4.1 metric tonnes. B/B1
category drivers Arrangements as for D1 drivers with legal requirement that they must have a provisional license and drive with ‘L’ plates. Please call
